PURPOSE: A wireless relay device and a method thereof are provided to prevent changes of a frequency channel and timing from simultaneously occurring in a mobile station. CONSTITUTION: A receiving signal selecting unit(620) selects a frequency channel signal among signals inputted through a receiving antenna. A transmission signal converting unit(630) converts the selected frequency channel signal into a frequency channel signal to be transmitted through a transmitting antenna. A relay device controller(650) selects a frequency channel to be used by the transmission signal converting unit and the receiving signal selecting unit. The relay device controller controls a relay device setup parameter. The relay unit controller controls the operation of the relay device.
