PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a wiring board by which highly refined electrode can be wired accurately, easily and conveniently; and to provide a mask that is used to the method of manufacturing a wiring board. SOLUTION: While an etching gas 26 is being supplied, a blockade 24 formed of a magnetic substance is strongly attracted to a water repellent layer 18 by a magnetic force to allow the repellent layer 18 and the blockade 24 to tightly be adhered to each other. Therefore, the etching gas 26 is prevented from sneaking into between them, and the repellent layer 18 adhered to the blockade 24 is surely prevented from being decomposed. On the other hand, since a mesh supporting body 22 arranged apart from the repellent layer 18 is made of a non-magnetic substance; it is not affected by the magnetic force, and it is prevented from being hanged to the side of the repellent layer 18. Then, an electrode material 28 to be coated is hydrophilic, so that it does not spread in an area wherein the repellent layer 18 is left.
