A solvent adhesive composition for polyester is provided to improve chemical resistance and to enhance the adhesive strength to a polyester-based polymer. A solvent adhesive composition for polyester comprises 2-98 wt% of trichloroethane, o-chlorophenol or their mixture; and 2-98 wt% of hexafluoroisopropanol, tetrafluoro acetic acid or their mixture. Preferably the solvent adhesive composition for polyester comprises 80-95 wt% of trichloroethane, o-chlorophenol or their mixture; and 5-20 wt% of hexafluoroisopropanol, tetrafluoro acetic acid or their mixture.
