The box is made from water and shock-proof materials and comprises a body, a cover, a lock and adjustable hanger brackets which can be secured inside the box by bolts. The cover can contain spaces for holding items such as bottles, cups, glasses and cans. Solar panels can be used to cool the box or power a fan. Small holes in the bottom can be provided to empty sand or water from box without having to open it. The box can be integrated into existing furniture items such as chairs and beds, as well as in furniture parts such as armrests or chair legs. The box can be collapsible, e.g. a folding crate.
