PURPOSE: Oxygen donor particles and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the reactivity of the oxygen donor particles by using magnesia and alumina as a support. CONSTITUTION: Oxygen donor particles include active materials containing metal oxide and a support. The support includes gamma alumina and magnesia. The oxygen donor particles are spherical. The average particle size of the oxygen donor particles is between 50 and 150um. The particle distribution of the oxygen donor particles is between 30 and 400um. The packing densities of the oxygen donor particles are between 1.0 and 3.0 g/ml. The specific surface areas of the oxygen donor particles are between 0.1 and 100m^2/g. The abrasion resistances of the oxygen donor particles are lower than or equal to 40%. The oxygen transferring ability of the oxygen donor particles is between 5 and 17wt%. The metal oxide is one or more selected from a group including nickel-based oxide and manganese-based oxide.
