PURPOSE: An LNG(Liquefied Natural Gas) storage tank is provided to maintain a stable sealing function because first and second protrusions absorb the thermal contraction, thereby dispersing the thermal load added to main and auxiliary secondary barriers. CONSTITUTION: An LNG storage tank comprises a plurality of insulation boards(100), an auxiliary second barrier(200), and a plurality of connection boards(300). The connection boards comprises a lower insulation board(110), a main second barrier(120), and an upper insulation board(130). The lower insulation board is fixed to the inner hull. The main second barrier is attached to the lower insulation board. The upper insulation board is attached to the main second barrier. The auxiliary second barrier is arranged between insulation boards adjacent to each other and welded to the main second barrier. A protruded portion of the auxiliary second barrier is projected correspondently to a space(ds) formed the adjacent insulation boards. The connection boards adjacent to each other are attached around the protrusion to the auxiliary second barrier.
