PRODUCTION METHOD FOR TRICRESYL PHOSPHATE

A method for preparing tricresyl phosphate is provided to be a very efficient method without requiring separation and purification of a product through distillation under reduced pressure and obtain the desired product with high purity and high transparency. A method for preparing tricresyl phosphate comprises the steps of: (a) dropping phosphorus oxychloride in dissolved oxygen removed cresol and then reacting them at a temperature of 60-100 deg.C under the supply of nitrogen gas; and (b) directly neutralizing the tricresyl phosphate by putting 0.05-2.0 wt.% of soda ash regarding the reaction solution obtained from the step(a) in the reaction solution and then filtering the soda ash. Further, a concentration of the added oxychloride is 0.10 to 0.33 mole.
