PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new deodorant capable of effectively reducing the malodor generated from an object to be deodorized by spraying/adding or sprinkling the deodorant over the object, and a method of deodorization using the deodorant. SOLUTION: The deodorant is made of an aqueous solution or an aqueous suspension including an ether type nonionic surfactant as an effective component.
