PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover discharge capacity of a lithium-ion secondary battery deteriorated by use. SOLUTION: In the method of recovering discharge capacity of the lithium-ion secondary battery with the discharge capacity lowered by repeated charge and discharge, being left alone for a long period of time, or the like, a part or a whole part of an outside surface except a terminal part of the lithium-ion secondary battery is covered with a sheet with carbon powder firmly fitted to cloth or paper, and is charged in that state and discharged in use as a power source.
