PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric tilt type steering device capable of effectively suppressing both of play between a screw shaft and a nut and play between the nut and a nut holder. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a steering column 12 for rotatably supporting a steering shaft 11 mounted with a steering wheel, a tilt bracket 24 for guiding the steering column 12, and an electric actuator 48 for making the steering column 12 guided to the tilt bracket 24 perform a tilt operation. The electric actuator 48 is provided with the screw shaft 35 to be rotated and driven by an electric motor, a nut part 46 screwed on the screw shaft 35 and connected to the steering column 12, and a play suppressing part 47 for suppressing play between the screw shaft 35 arranged in the nut part 46 and a connecting part of the steering column 12.
