FIELD: biochemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the area of pharmaceuticals industry and biochemistry. The proposed method for obtaining a substance of the recombinant L-asparaginase from Erwinia carotovora implies covalent modification with polyethyl glycol of the recombinant L-asparaginase split off fom the microbial mass of the genetically engineered producer strain Escherichia coli BL(DE3)/pACYS-LANS(KM) with the deleted gene of resistance to ampicillin in the pACYS-LANS plasmide. Such modification shall be performed by associating N-hydroxysuccinimide ester monometoxypolyethylene glycol- hemisuccinate (mPEG-suc-NHS) to the asparaginase lysine aminogroups. The obtained conjugate shall be subjected to chromatographic purification and freeze-drying.
