A method of grinding needle-shaped cylindrical surface by a stone end, according to which the abrasive stone performs a circular forward motion in a plane passing through the generating line of a drum and during contact with a needle the stone performs at least one turn. The stone performs rough and fine finish due to anisometric structure that enhances the quality and performance of the worked needle surface.
