PURPOSE: A method for managing tag based personal information is provided to enable a user to quickly search personal information corresponding to tags by attaching at least one tag to the personal information. CONSTITUTION: At least one tag related to each personal information is connected with each personal information. When the personal information is searched, the personal information related to at least one tag selected by a user is displayed on a portable information terminal. Each tag is classified into a public tag or a private tag. A private tag list is displayed on the screen of a mobile information terminal.
