A communication method in a wireless network, a communication method of a mesh point in the wireless network, and the mesh point thereof are provided to improve a hybrid wireless mesh protocol, thereby more efficiently selecting an optimal path. One mesh point transmits an RREQ(Route-Request). Another mesh point located in a proactive tree of a proactive tree building mode receives the RREQ. If the one mesh point corresponds to a parent of another mesh point, another mesh point retransmits the RREQ after a randomized time elapses. If the one mesh point does not correspond to the parent of another mesh point, another mesh point immediately retransmits the RREQ.
