<p>A purpose of the present invention is to provide a light emitting device having good light emitting characteristics, a light emitting apparatus provided with a light emitting device, and a method of manufacturing a light emitting device. More specifically, the following construction is adopted. Organic EL devices (10a), (10b), and (10c) are configured by stacking at least a hole injection layer (4) and a light emitting layer (6) between mutually transparent a first electrode (2) and a second electrode (8), wherein the light emitting layer (6) is located in a region demarcated by banks (5). In this configuration, the hole injection layer (4), in the region demarcated by banks (5), is formed with a recess structure such that its top surface sunk lower. The edge (4c) of the recess part of the recess structure of the hole injection layer (4) is covered by a part of the banks (5).</p> |
