<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate color material usage information for a print object on a host device and preliminarily display it to users. <P>SOLUTION: A driver program 22A causes a computer 15 in a host device 1, which transmits print data to an image forming apparatus 2, to function as: (a) a rendering module 52 which generates multivalued bitmap data from application data; and (b) a driver core module 51 which converts a color space of the multivalued bitmap data generated by the rendering module 52 into a color space of a plurality of color materials used by the image forming apparatus 2, calculates color material usage information for respective colors of the color materials on the whole multivalued bitmap data based on pixel values of the multivalued bitmap data resulting from the conversion, and displays the color material usage information on a display device 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
