<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inductor which can reduce leakage flux and can exhibit excellent performance even if the inductor is disposed closely to a semiconductor integrated circuit (IC), and to provide a DC-DC converter using it. <P>SOLUTION: Coil conductors arranged on different magnetic body layers of a multilayer insulating substrate having an upper main surface and a lower main surface facing each other and a lateral face connecting the upper and lower main surfaces are stacked, connected through via holes and turned vertically to produce a stacked coil. The multilayer insulating substrate has a coil forming magnetic body layer, and an upper magnetic body layer and a lower magnetic body layer located above and below the coil forming magnetic body layer. The magnetic body layer located in the direction of magnetic flux generated by the stacked coil is made thicker than the other magnetic body layer thus reducing flux leakage from the main surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
