<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking assist device capable of parking in a state of maintaining a distance between a rear end of a vehicle and a target, which is set on a road, of an appropriate interval independently of existence of rear obstructions on the road. <P>SOLUTION: This parking assist device includes an optical system configured to radiate the light passing under a first pattern of distribution of luminous intensity, which is formed on a virtual vertical screen facing front of the rear end of the vehicle by the light radiated from a vehicle lamp disposed in the rear end of the vehicle, and forming a second pattern of distribution of luminous intensity on the road separated at a predetermined distance from the rear end of the vehicle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
