<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a node which has simple structure and is capable of communication between nodes in a normal mode without activating a node in a sleep mode, and capable of quickly activating a node in the sleep mode as necessary. <P>SOLUTION: Each ECU 10 comprises a first transceiver 12 used for communication between its own ECU 10 and another ECU 10 and, in addition, a second transceiver 13 for transmitting and receiving a differential signal having reversed polarity on a communication path LN relative to a differential signal having normal polarity used for its communication. An ECU 10 uses the second transceiver 13 to transmit and receive an activation signal to transition an operation mode from a sleep mode to a normal mode. In addition, if dominants of a differential signal of the normal polarity and a differential signal of the reversed polarity collide with each other, the dominant of the normal polarity is dominant. This makes it possible to transmit the activation signal at any timing without affecting communication between an ECU 10 in the normal mode and an ECU 10 in the normal mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
