A thin film solar battery comprising a unit solar battery cell (10) formed on a transparent insulating substrate (11), wherein the unit solar battery cell (10) comprises a surface electrode layer (12) composed of a transparent electrically conductive material, a photoelectric conversion layer (13) and a back surface electrode layer (14), the back surface electrode layer (14) is connected to the surface electrode layer (12) of the unit solar battery cell (10) so as to connect the multiple unit solar battery cells (10) in series, and the back surface electrode layer (14) is adjacent to the surface electrode layer (12) in a second scribe line (22), and wherein a white insulating layer (17) is provided on the back surface electrode layer (14), the back surface electrode layer (14) comprises a transparent conductive film (15) and a metal film (16) laminated sequentially on the photoelectric conversion layer (13), at least the metal film (16) is pattered lineally, the metal film (16) is patterned linearly at least in the second scribe line (22) so as to be connected to the adjacent surface electrode layer (12) of the unit solar battery cell (10), and the white insulating layer (17) is also formed in the second scribe line (22). |
