A system and a method for controlling a vehicle, and component devices are provided to secure more stable communication between devices in the vehicle and a portable device and to reduce power consumption. A system for controlling a vehicle includes a portable device(10) and an in-vehicle device(20). The in-vehicle device includes an in-vehicle channel selection units(21,22), an in-vehicle transmission units(27,28), an in-vehicle reception units(23,25), an in-vehicle reception determination unit, and an reception channel storage units. The in-vehicle reception determination unit determines whether a first wireless signal is received by the in-vehicle reception unit or not. The in-vehicle channel selection unit selects the same frequency channel as the frequency channel stored at an in-vehicle memory, if the information on the frequency channel is stored in the in-vehicle memory. The portable device includes a portable channel selection unit(11,12), a portable transmission unit(13,15), a portable reception unit(17,18), a portable reception determination unit, and a transmission channel storage units(14). The portable channel selection unit selects a frequency channel discriminated by the frequency channel information included in a second wireless signal, if the second wireless signal is received by the portable reception unit. The portable channel selection unit selects the frequency channel discriminated by the frequency channel information stored in the portable memory, if an operation button is operated by a user. |
