The snaffle-bit (1) has a dental piece (3) comprising a muzzle side and a muzzle opening side. Two rein arrangements (6, 7) i.e. rings, are utilized as left and right rein arrangements, and as the right and left rein arrangements in two configurations of the snaffle-bit, respectively, where more intensive haptic perception is caused in one of the configuration than the other configuration. A surface of the dental piece on the muzzle side within a lower region is partially made of metal or ceramic and within an upper region is made of plastic, rubber or leather.
