PURPOSE: A DMA(Direct Memory Access) device for a multicore system and an operating method thereof are provided to prevent the waste of system resource by skipping frequent checking of a data receiving core state by a data transmitting core. CONSTITUTION: A channel state determining unit(210) determines the availability of a source and a destination channel. When the source and destination channel are both available, a data transmitting unit(220) transmits source code data to a destination core. When a source channel start signal is set by a source core, a source channel state checking unit(212) checks the availability of the source channel. When a destination channel start signal is set by the destination core, a destination channel state checking unit(213) checks the availability of the destination channel. |
