<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire, for improving uneven abrasion resistance while maintaining high durability. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic radial tire includes: at least one carcass layer 4 between a pair of bead parts 3 and 3; a plurality of belt layers 7 on the outer circumference side of the carcass layer 4 in a tread part 1; and at least one belt cover layer 8 formed by arraying reinforcing codes at angles of 5 degrees or less in a tire circumferential direction on the outer circumferential side. The belt cover layer 8 is selectively located in both shoulder areas excluding the center area of the tread part 1, and the elongation rate El, in the load of 2.34 cN/dtex, of the reinforcing codes constituting the belt cover layer 8 is set within the range of 6.0 to 10.0%. When the residual tensile force of the belt cover layer 8 per one reinforcing code is defined as S and when the number of driven-in codes per 1 cm of the layer width of the belt cover layer 8 is defined as E, a belt fastening index, which is the product of the residual tensile force S and the number E of driven-in codes, is set to 20 to 300. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
