<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decline in processing speed of a print job when image quality adjustment operation is performed during printing. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming device comprises: image forming parts 112 for respective colors arranged so as to face an outer surface of an intermediate transfer belt 61 on a forward path; a secondary transfer roller 66 which is provided at a position on a backward path and moves to a press-contact position and a separation position against the outer surface of the intermediate transfer belt 61; and a photosensor 101 which is provided at a position between a photoreceptor drum 3 at the most downstream side of the forward path and the secondary transfer roller 66 and detects density of a toner image on the intermediate transfer belt 61. In an image quality adjustment operation, a row of toner images for an image quality adjustment into which the toner images for the image quality adjustment are formed in a row is formed on the intermediate transfer belt 61 by each of the image forming parts 112, and the density thereof is detected by the photosensor 101. The length of the row of the toner images for the image quality adjustment is shorter than the intermediate transfer belt 61 between the photoreceptor drum 3 at the most downstream side of the forward path and the secondary transfer roller 66. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
