The invention relates to a cutting tool consisting of a carrier tool (24) which has a recess (8) for receiving a cutting insert (5, 9, 30) with a clamping depression (22) on the rake face (10), the cutting insert (5, 9, 30) being held in the carrier tool (24) by a clamping finger (1) having a lug (21), the clamping finger (1) being secured to the carrier tool (24) via a clamping bolt (2) in such a manner that, when the clamping bolt (2) is tightened, the clamping finger (1) pulls the cutting insert (5, 9, 30) into the recess (8), and a falciform engagement element (12) for engaging into the clamping depression (22) in the cutting insert (5, 9, 30) being arranged on the lug (21), and a) the clamping bolt (2) having a clamping head (2b) which overhangs with respect to its shank (2a), the clamping head (2b) being seated on a locating surface (6) of the clamping finger (1) which is angled off with respect to the axis (16) of the clamping bolt (2), and the angled-off locating surface (6) being arranged in such a manner that the compressive force of the clamping finger (1) on the cutting insert (5, 9, 30) is reinforced, and b) the lug (21) of the clamping finger (1) having a clamping surface (11) for bearing against the rake face (10) of the cutting insert (5, 9, 30). |
