<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for production of castings, which improves gas defects of castings. <P>SOLUTION: The structure for production of castings includes: organic fibers; inorganic fibers; inorganic particles (A) having an average particle diameter of 50 to 150 μm; and a binder (a). The structure for production of castings has, formed on the surface thereof, a surface layer including: fire-resistant inorganic particles (B); a clay mineral; and a binder (b); wherein the fire-resistant inorganic particles (B) are particles of a compound selected from the group consisting of a metal oxide and a silicate of a metal and have an average particle diameter of 1 to 100 μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
