<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for giving cost information related to branching points and a method of determining a route utilizing such information. <P>SOLUTION: A method and a device for giving cost information related to branching points in a road network comprise searching for driving data representing at least one situation of a vehicle in passing a plurality of branching points, determining on the basis of map data a set of feature values related to each of the plurality of branching points, adjusting of parameters of a branch point cost model, supplying of cost values according to the branch point cost model so configured as to supply cost values in response to the set of feature values related to the branching points, and adjusting of the parameters of the branch point cost model on the basis of received driving data and the set of feature values determined for the plurality of branching points, the branch point cost model being usable for route searching. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
