<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device capable of appropriately detecting and transmitting tire information such as information about the pneumatic pressure of a tire even if the puncture of the tire is repaired using a puncture repairing agent. <P>SOLUTION: The transmission device is provided in a tire cavity area surrounded by a tire and a rim and transmits information about the tire condition. The device includes a sensor that detects the state of gas filled in the tire cavity area, a transmitter that transmits the information about the tire condition by radio communication based on the gas state detected by the sensor, and a casing that covers the sensor and the transmitter. The casing is provided with a protruding portion that protrudes from the surface of the casing and has an opening for connecting the inner space of the casing and the tire cavity area and a protective wall the height of which from the surface of the casing is not less than 70% and not more than 130% of the height of the protruding portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
