DISH DRYER AND METHOD OF DRYING AND STERILIZING DISH

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dish dryer and a method of drying and sterilizing dishes, which are capable of suitably reducing charged potential inside a drying chamber.

SOLUTION: The dish dryer includes: a body; a cover body for covering the body and forming a drying chamber together with the body; a dish basket installed in the drying chamber for accommodating the dried object; a fan for feeding air toward the drying chamber; a heater for heating air; an ion generator for generating and supplying ions into the drying chamber; and a control unit for controlling both a hot-air operation for supplying the air heated by the heater into the drying chamber and a sterilizing operation for supplying ions into the drying chamber. The control unit performs the hot-air operation before starting the sterilizing operation.
