<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and quickly predict the shape of a gamut indicating the area reproducible with plural kinds of inks in a color space in a printing device for performing printing using the inks before creating a base LUT. <P>SOLUTION: Based on the respective duty limit values of plural kinds of inks, the total duty limit value of the plural kinds of inks, and information for associating combinations of ink amounts with values in a color space, initial ink amount candidates respectively reproducing the colors of points whose mutual distances become equal within a predetermined range in the color space are estimated, and the boundary between the reproducible area and the unreproducible area with the plural kinds of inks in the color space is determined with reference to the initial ink amount candidates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
