#CMT# #/CMT# The engine has a cylinder head (1) with intake channels (6) placed at an intake flange surface (2) and exhaust channels (7) placed at an opposite outlet flange surface (3), where the flange surfaces are mutually inclined. Camshaft bearing channels for camshafts (12, 13) are formed in the intake and outlet flange surfaces. An oil chamber (10) is provided for an operating unit (11) of a gas exchange valve. An actuator unit (16) including an actuator (17) is provided in the chamber to control the operating unit between the camshafts. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Internal combustion engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The actuator unit including the actuator is provided in the oil chamber to control the operating unit between the camshafts, thus reducing sealing and assembly expenditure and increasing process-safe of the engine, and enabling inexpensive manufacturing of the engine while simultaneously achieving change of opening times and/or vertical lifts of the gas exchange valve.
