摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device and an imaging method that are capable of accurately specifying a focal distance even if there is a parallax between two optical systems, that is, a first optical system acquiring an object image to be photographed and a second optical system acquiring an object image for determining a focus. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: first image acquisition means for acquiring first image data using a first imaging element performing photoelectric conversion on an object image via a photographic lens; second image acquisition means for acquiring second image data using a second imaging element performing photoelectric conversion on an object image via a ranging lens; ranging means for calculating a distance to the object using the first and second image data; and focus control means for focusing based on the distance. Further, the ranging means includes: an image-forming position specification part for specifying both a first image-forming position where the object image is formed on the first imaging element and a second image-forming position where the object image is formed on the second imaging element; and a distance calculation part for calculating a distance using the first and second image-forming positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
