PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a composite image on the basis of the aberration characteristics of a plurality of lenses.

SOLUTION: An imaging device for taking an image of a subject comprises: a plurality of lenses having respectively different aberration characteristics; an imaging unit for taking an image of the subject respectively via the lenses to generate a plurality of taken images; a partial image generation unit which divides the respective taken images generated by the imaging unit into image areas, on the basis of the aberration characteristics of the lenses, selects image areas different depending on each of the taken images from the image areas, and generates a plurality of partial images corresponding to the selected image areas; and an image composing unit which composes the partial images to generate the composite image.
