<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force estimating apparatus of an electric vehicle for accurately estimating an abnormal motor torque value output from an electric motor for independently driving right and left drive wheels. <P>SOLUTION: The driving force estimating apparatus is adapted to the electric vehicle for independently driving the right and left drive wheels by using the electric motor, especially independently driving the right and left drive wheels by using the electric motor in response to torque instruction values T<SB POS="POST">R</SB>, T<SB POS="POST">L</SB>, and includes: a yaw jerk detecting means for detecting a yaw jerk dγ; and an abnormal motor torque estimating means for estimating the abnormal motor torque value of the electric motor. The abnormal motor torque estimating means includes: a torque abnormal wheel determiner 22 for determining a torque abnormal wheel driven by the abnormal motor torque value; and an abnormal torque estimator 23 for estimating the abnormal motor torque value based on the yaw jerk dγ, a torque abnormal wheel determination value W<SB POS="POST">fail</SB>and the torque instruction values T<SB POS="POST">L</SB>, T<SB POS="POST">R</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
