<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of road traffic and convenience of a user by eliminating problems of both road-vehicle communication and inter-vehicle communication, widening a range where communication can be provided and making communication more stable. <P>SOLUTION: A road-vehicle and inter-vehicle communication system includes a plurality of road side communication instruments 1 provided on a road side part and having a narrow-band communication area and an on-vehicle side communication instrument 2 loaded in a vehicle which travels while passing through the communication area, and is configured to perform radio communication by linking the road-vehicle communication and the inter-vehicle communication. The road side communication instruments 1 and the on-vehicle side communication instrument 2 are configured to communicate with each other through two first and second radio channels respectively in either case of the road-vehicle communication and the inter-vehicle communication, and the on-vehicle side communication instrument 2 executes channel switchover after notifying a communicating partner of the channel switchover by the radio channel under the communication when switching the channel from one to the other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
