<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the manufacturing process for an armature for a rotary electric machine and reduce the manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: An armature for a rotary electric machine includes: a linear conductor side part 5 that has each of a plurality of segment conductors 4 of a coil 3 disposed in slots 22 of the conductor side part; a parallel projection 6 that extends in parallel in an extension direction of the conductor side part 5; a skew projection 7 that extends slantingly in a circumferential direction relative to the extension direction of the conductor side part 5 so as to gradually depart from an armature core 2 in an axial direction L. The skew projection 7 includes: a junction 72 that is joined with a parallel projection to be joined of a segment conductor to be joined; a skew body part 71 that is inclined to an extension direction of the conductor side part; and an offset bent part 76 that offsets the junction 72 to the radial direction R relative to the skew body part 71 such that the junction 72 is in the same position in the radial direction R with the parallel projection to be joined.
