<p>Disclosed is a reproduction device allowing coexistence of stereoscopic images created by the content producer with a device-embedded GUI built into a device independently manufactured by the manufacturer. A subtitles decoder decodes a subtitle stream and displays subtitles in a prescribed layout. A GUI processing unit renders the device-embedded GUI. The subtitle layouts include a normal layout which secures an area for subtitle display at the top and at the bottom, a top arrangement layout which secures an area for subtitle display only at the top, and a bottom arrangement layout which secures an area for subtitle display only at the bottom. If the top arrangement layout or the bottom arrangement layout is selected as the subtitle layout, the GUI processing unit selects, as the layout of the device-embedded GUI, the same layout.</p> |
