PURPOSE: A waterproof slide fastener and a method of applying fluid tight coating on a tape are provided to endure and process in extreme weather conditions and prevent slipping of sealing rims. CONSTITUTION: A waterproof slide fastener comprises: a pair of tapes(224) including coupling elements(220) which are attached to the tape; coating of a polymeric material which is offered on one or more surfaces of the tape and consecutively extended along the tape; and a pin including a projected region(241) on the cross section in the coating of the polymeric material. The coating of the polymeric material cannot be extended over the coupling element if a slide fastener is openly arranged.
