<p>Provided is a content reproduction device and so forth whereby it is possible to reduce the wait time involved when downloading content, thereby improving the download speed as experienced by the user. The content reproduction device is provided with a data transceiver unit for receiving from a content distribution server a content information list for a plurality of content to be downloaded, a content segment amount assessing unit for determining on the basis of the received content information list the number of segments per content when each of a plurality of content to be downloaded is divided into segments of a prescribed size, a download rank assignment unit for finalizing the sequence for downloading each segmented content data consisting of a number of segments per assessed content, and a reproduction control unit for reproducing each segmented content data downloaded on the basis of the finalized sequence for download; the data transceiver unit downloads from the content distribution server the segmented content data in order from the earliest in the finalized download sequence.</p> |
