PURPOSE: A content providing server and a content providing method are provided to enable a content providing server to store clipping data and supply a URL address corresponding to the clipping data to content reproducing media. CONSTITUTION: A web server(154) receives clipping data for designating a part of a reproduction section of online content from a first content reproducing medium(110). A content database(152) stores the clipping data. If a call signal is received from a second content reproducing medium(120), the web server generates a URL address corresponding to the clipping data. The web server transmits the URL address to the second content reproducing medium. |
