<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of detecting a leak of gas in a housing chamber even if a gas sensor changes with time. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell 7 housed in a housing chamber 10, a gas sensor 100m which detects gas used or caused by the fuel cell in the housing chamber 10, a ventilator 6 which ventilates air in the housing chamber 10, and a controller 100. The controller 100, regularly or irregularly, forms a ventilation restraining period in which the amount of ventilation by the ventilator 6 is decreased or reduced to zero, and detects the presence or absence of a leak of gas used or caused by the fuel cell in the housing chamber 10 during the ventilation restraining period, based on the gas sensor 100m. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
