<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a solid polymer electrolyte membrane by discharging a fuel cell stack in an appropriate timing while power generation is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises; a fuel cell stack 2 which is formed by stacking a plurality of cells; an electric load 24 which consumes the electricity generated by the fuel cell stack 2; a switch 23; total voltage detection means which detects a total voltage of the fuel cell stack 2; and an electronic control unit 30. The electronic control unit 30 includes: a voltage variation calculation unit which calculates a voltage variation per predetermined time based on the total voltage value detected by the total voltage detection means; and a determination unit which determines whether or not the voltage variation has shifted from a positive value to 0 or to a negative value after the fuel cell stack 2 has stopped generating power. If the determination unit determines affirmative, the switch 23 is turned on to start the power supply to the electric load 24. If the total voltage value reaches a total voltage determination threshold or a lower value after the start of power supply, the switch 23 is turned off to stop the power supply to the electric load 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
