<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light diffusing polarizer having sufficient light diffusion, which also excellently exhibits other optical functions such as an antidazzle function and an antireflection function, and to provide a liquid crystal display device using the polarizer. <P>SOLUTION: A light diffusing polarizer comprises a polarizing film 101, a light diffusing film 102 which is laminated on the polarizing film 101, and a surface treated film 103 made of a transparent resin film 107 which is laminated on the light diffusing film 102 and has one optically treated surface, and a liquid crystal display device uses the polarizer. The light diffusing film 102 includes a light diffusing layer 106 of which surface has a center line average roughness Ra in the range from 0.1 μm to less than 1 μm. The light diffusing layer 106 of the light diffusing film 102 and the surface treated film 103 are laminated to each other through an adhesive layer or a bonding layer 104. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
