<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent "double-reading" that a commodity code of an identical commodity is read twice. <P>SOLUTION: When security medium detection means detects a security tag attached on a commodity, a security function of which is activated, an imaging section 40 reads the commodity code from a bar code attached to the commodity and stores the same in a storage area 100. Security medium disabling means disables the security function of the security tag attached to the commodity. When the imaging section 40 reads the commodity code attached to the commodity, it is determined whether the commodity code attached to the commodity coincides with the commodity code stored in the storage area 100; and when it is determined that they coincide with each other, it is notified that the commodity code on the bar code is "double-read". <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
