<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vitreous silica crucible which can be prevented from being buckled or sunk during use in multi-pulling. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a vitreous silica crucible 1 used in pulling silicon single crystals, which crucible is provided with a mineralizing agent on its inner surface, wherein the mineralizing agent contains at least one element selected from among Ca, Sr, Ba, Ra, Ti, Zr, Cr, Mo, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu and Ag, and the concentration of the mineralizing agent on the inner surface is 1.0×10<SP POS="POST">5</SP>to 1.0×10<SP POS="POST">17</SP>pieces/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
