<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a display panel that can suppress cracking in a product and can improve workability, and a display panel. <P>SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a display panel includes a step of cutting a mother glass substrate 10 by forming first and second scribe lines 31, 32 orthogonal to each other on a surface 11 of the mother glass substrate 10 and extending cracks in a substrate thickness direction from the first and second scribe lines 31, 32. In the method, when forming the first scribe line 31 corresponding to a long side of the display panel (i.e., a long side 6 of a cell 4), a first wheel cutter 50 having zero to five notches along an outer periphery is used, and when forming the second scribe line 32 corresponding to a short side of the display panel (i.e., a short side 8 of the cell 4), a second wheel cutter 60 having 50 to 300 notches 63 along an outer periphery is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
