The present invention relates to a device with at least one peristaltic hose pump, wherein the peristaltic hose pump has at least one pump bed and at least one hose or hose part inserted or insertable into the pump bed, and with at least one pressure detector, which is arranged downstream of the peristaltic hose pump and by means of which the time profile of the pressure of a fluid conveyed by means of the peristaltic hose pump can be determined, and with at least one evaluating means, with which the occlusion of the hose or hose part inserted or insertable into the pump bed can be monitored on the basis of the time and/or angle difference between at least one maximum and at least one minimum of the determined time profile of the pressure and/or on the basis of a local minimum of the determined time profile of the pressure.
