TOUCH SWITCH HAVING INTEGRAL CONTROL CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable touch switch device which is inherently unaffected by a presence of a contaminant, electronic interference and other disturbance near a touch switch and its related control circuit ao as to prevent a start-up of a switch not intended by the touch switch.

SOLUTION: This touch switch (22) detecting a presence of an object like human additional organ has a touchpad and a local control circuit (26) connected with the touchpad and a controlled device. Preferably the touch switch includes a first electrode (E1) and a second electrode (E2) apart from and surrounding the first electrode. The control circuit (26) is preferably formed in a integrated circuit. A signal is provided in the touchpad and forms an electrical field near it. Introducing a stimulation into a vicinity of the touchpad results in a disturbance of the electrical field. The control circuit detects the disturbance of the electrical field and generates a control signal.
