<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head of an independent driving type including a common electrode having a small current density in a limited space on a head chip without increasing the size of the head chip. <P>SOLUTION: In a head chip 1, a connection electrode conducting with drive electrodes in drive channels 11A, 11B are formed on a back surface, common electrodes 17A, 17B commonly conducting with drive electrodes in a plurality of dummy channels 12A, 12B are formed on a front surface, and through-holes 16A, 16B penetrating from the front surface to the back surface, besides the drive channels 11A, 11B and the dummy channels 12A, 12B, are further provided.
